Skyline identity--a free-standing obelisk with the latticed pyramidal top housing the cooling system

One Liberty Place is behind the pyramidal top of the Mellon Bank building. Once the Liberty Place towers had been approved, other skyscrapers followed--this one of 53 storeys. See also the ComCast Tower. This building is on an axis with the City Hall tower.
