
| The City Hall is just down the street from Gideon Shryock's Courthouse, built several decades earlier. Like it, the City Hall borrows from ealier architectural styles, in this case, largely French Empire style. Local and modern decorative elements sneak in, however. A sculpted locomotive is in the main tympanum and the tympana of the windows have animal heads, relating to area agriculture. See below right. | ||
