Judith Shea, whose earlier career was that of a fashion designer, depicts here the forms that would have been used in that work. The title refers to the fact that empty forms like these would have been stored. She says, "The truncated clothing forms provided an essence--no extremities, no movement; it was a way to express the essence of human presence" (quoted from signage on site). Similar formas are used in Without Words and the coat is also used in Post-Balzac, both included on my site. | |
